What will you learn?
Day 1: Playing with Words 
Activity: Everything is Rhyme 
Children dive into the world of words with playful rhyme games and guided poem writing. They’ll 
explore famous poems, learn about structure and how poems can be built from what they see, 
hear, touch, and feel, and create their own. 
● Skills: Vocabulary building, observation, creative expression 
● Takeaway: A Rhyming poem

Day 2: Feelings in Form 
Activity: Emotion Poems + Poem Performance 
We’ll explore how poetry helps us understand and express emotions—like happiness, fear, or 
courage. Kids will choose a feeling, write a short emotion-based poem, and then share it with 
the group in a supportive mini “Poetry Circle.” 
● Skills: Emotional literacy, confidence, self-expression 
● Takeaway: An illustrated “Emotion Poem” and a certificate of poetic bravery
